Continuing Education (CE) Submission 

CEs are required for any person who has a Private Well Grant contract with IHHS, & Swimming Pool/Spa and Tattoo Contract with DIAL. 

Approved Courses & Conferences

Submission Requirements & Guidelines

    • It is preferred that you enter all 12 CEHs at one time.
    • All entries are date and time stamped and must be submitted by 11:59PM on January 15. Submissions after this time will not be accepted due to the system cutoff.
    • All submissions must have proof of attendance.  This can be the course agenda, a receipt of registration, a certificate of completion, or other documentation. CEHs are required to be submitted electronically. No paper or emailed submissions will be accepted.  
    • Only pre-approved courses may be submitted. You will be able to select only those courses whose agendas have already been submitted and approved for CEHs by the Professional Development Committee.
    • In the event you do not see a course you attended on the list, submit an agenda to Andy Swartz for review.  If approved, it will be added to the list shortly after your submission.
    • Up to three hours of non-environmental health (EH) specific CEHs may be applied toward the annual 12.0-hour requirement. Examples include accreditation, quality assurance, and quality improvement workshops or training.
    • Approved hours may not reflect your actual total. The hours listed for each course are based on full attendance; if you do not attend the entire session, you must adjust your hours accordingly.
    • Individuals holding a current REHS/RS, CEHT, or other NEHA certification may skip listing individual courses and instead upload a scanned copy of their current certification card using the “Upload Files” button.
    • Printing must be completed before submission. Use the “Print” button at the bottom of the form to save a copy for your records. You must print prior to clicking “Submit,” as you will not be able to return and print your information after submission.
    • All CEH calculations are based on quarter-hour increments, with time rounded up to the next increment. For example, a 15-minute webinar equals 0.25 hours, while a 16-minute webinar is rounded up to 0.50 hours.
    • Once 12 CEUs is confirmed, a certificate will be emailed to you for your records.
