2026 IEHA Fall Conference

October 7-8, 2026

FFA Enrichment Center, Ankeny Iowa

Conference Keynote Speaker

Jackie Pelland is a founding partner of the leadership development company, Slingshot25, where she designs and delivers leadership   learning programs and provides leadership coaching. Prior to Slingshot25, Jackie spent 25 years developing leaders in Fortune 500   companies. During that time, she studied the impact that leaders  have on what it feels like to work for an organization.

She believes every employee deserves a great place to work. There is no question that leaders have an outsized impact on the employee experience – they make or break it every day. But she also understands that leading others is difficult work that can go wrong even with the best of intentions. It’s this understanding that drives Jackie’s insightful, fun, and welcoming approach to leadership development, where she focuses on the essential and often-forgotten truth of leading people. Jackie holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa. She is a graduate of the altMBA program and is a certified coach.
