Preparing to be " PHAB"ULOUS

The Iowa Public Health Gaining Ground Coalition (IPHGCC) announces an accreditation training session “Preparing to be PHABulous!” presented by David Stone from PHAB.   

This free workshop is offered to Iowa’s public and environmental health professionals interested in the national public health standards and process, accreditation readiness, and the importance of documenting what we do in public health.  

The one-day workshop including lunch will be held on March 2, 2016 in West Des Moines.  An agenda is currently being developed and will be released soon.

Who should attend?  Representatives of local public health and environmental public health agencies. 

What will be covered? 

  • Participants will learn about changes PHAB is making to the accreditation process.
  • What PHAB requires of all documents, and how to select documentation.
  • How to use the standards as a basis for determining the appropriateness of documentation.
