Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the 15th Annual EPA Region 7 Radon Stakeholder’s Conference will be a virtual conference this year. The virtual conference will be held Tuesday March 2nd, 2021, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. See below link to the announcement flyer which includes a link for registration.

This meeting is held at no cost for all those that have a stake in protecting the public from unnecessary exposure to radon in their homes, schools and businesses.  It is the intent of U.S. EPA Region 7 and its partners; the Iowa Department of Public Health, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and the Heartland Chapter of AARST (American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists) to bring interested stakeholders together to discuss common issues, provide insight into the future, understand radon issues from other perspectives, share, educate and network. Attendees will qualify for continuing education credit in Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska and for NRPP and NRSB.

In addition to the stakeholders meeting, Kansas State University will be offering additional continuing education classes on Monday March 1, 2021, (there is a fee for these classes):

  • 8:00 am KSU-419 User-Friendly QC Measurement Analysis (2 hours)
  • 10:00 am KSU-418 Social Media Marketing for the Radon Industry (2 hours)
  • 12:30 pm Fan selection, diagnostic case studies and AARST system inspection checklist (4 hours)
