Thank you to all who have registered. 

• This is the day before the Public Health Conference of Iowa and will be held in the South Prairie Room of the Gateway Hotel and Conference Center. 

• It will run from 1-5 in the afternoon and cost $40 to attend.  This workshop will feature live tattooing being done by local artists.  One artist will be of the traditional tattoo variety.  The second will be a micoblader or permanent makeup. 

• The first part of the workshop will be more of a traditional classroom setup.  A short presentation will be done by HHS on the basics of how the tattoo process works through the State of Iowa, and each artist will give a background on their respective shops and procedures.  The next part will be the artists setting up and then actually tattooing clients.  Attendees will be able to watch and ask questions as each artist is working.  This should allow for an open discussion between the tattoo artists and inspectors where some of those questions we all have about tattoos can be answered.

This workshop is being held the day before the spring conference, but is not actually a part of the conference, so if you are interested in attending, you will need to sign up separately.
