Description:

This is a 2-day class that is a Time of Transfer Inspector Certification Prerequisite for those with less than 2 yrs of onsite wastewater experience. Passing the test on the 2nd day is required. The course covers the basics of onsite wastewater, the functional characteristics of conventional septic systems and alternatives systems, and the Iowa wastewater regulations. This course is offered in person or virtual. Virtual student will need a computer, internet, camera, and microphone. A link to access the class will be sent 2-3 days prior to the start of class. This section is for County Sanitarians, Iowa DNR, Boards of Health, and Boards of Supervisors. This course is funded by a grant for technical assistance training from the EPA.
