Join IWWA to learn more about best management practices From Proper Well Construction to Water Sampling Procedures. This program will cover: basic well construction for the different wells found in the State of Iowa; well hook–up, including tanks, pumps, caps, pitless adapters and units and test bibs; proper procedures for water sampling and what may be encountered when you are on-site; what causes bad water samples; what steps you can take to assure a good sample; and chlorination and dechlorination techniques with emphasis on the difference between sanitation of a well and total systems.
This 101 program is perfect for County Sanitarians, DNR Regional Office staff, newly-licensed Well Drillers, and anyone looking to refresh their basics.

CONTINUING EDUCATION: This program has been approved for 5 contact hours toward well driller and pump installer certification requirements and for 5 CEUs approved by the IEHA Registry.
