MEET THE PRESIDENT |
Tim Link City of Dubuque Thank you for electing me as your 2025 - 2026 IEHA President. I look forward to serving as your president over the next year. I am honored to have this opportunity. I am a Dubuque native who became a medical technologist and relocated to Littleton, Colorado to work at Swedish Medical Center in their hospital laboratory. I relocated back to Dubuque to work in the Mercy Hospital laboratory. I have worked for the City of Dubuque Health Services for the past 30 years. |

My wife Kris and I have two adult boys. We are anxiously awaiting the birth of our first grandson in July. My hobbies include alpine skiing, fly fishing, and camping. In the summer I spend a lot of time in the driftless region. We are blessed to have such a unique natural area in Iowa.
In my current position I perform food, pool, lodging, and tattoo inspections. I am a Registered Environmental Health Specialist and a Certified Professional in Food Safety with NEHA. During my time as a sanitarian, I have seen many challenges to environmental health, unique emerging diseases, and as I won’t soon forget COVID-19. Our profession will continue to be challenged whether that is through funding, policy, or emerging disease. We must remain strong as an association to allow our voice to be collectively heard since we are the environmental health professionals who respond to the challenges as they arise. Lastly, I encourage all our younger professionals to get involved with our association by serving on a committee or board, you meet some great people, learn a lot, and the experience is very worthwhile. Thank You for allowing me to serve you for the next year!
